Pollution Pump Control Panel

A customer required a Panel upgrade for a pollution control system, as their original panel has grown old and outdated. ONYX Engineering offered their service to engineer and replace the panel.

The Problem

The customer had an infrastructure with obsolete controls in a vintage electrical panel.  Changing the panel out would extend the lifecycle of the over all pump station.

The Solution

ONYX Engineering upgraded the control systems, design and build a new electrical and control panel.  Implement the new panel into SCADA and provide field installation support.  AutoCAD Electrical 2021 was used to create electrical schematic to assist our panel shop in building electrical controls panel that housed equipment such as variable frequency drives, motor contactors, programmable logic controller, human machine interface as well as supplying power for equipment located in the field.  Created controls for monitoring using Allen Bradley Micro820 PLC using Connected Components Workbench software from Rockwell.  Provide electrical installation services to remove old control panel and replace with new control panel. Tested communications and alarms back to the main facility.

The Results

The client now has a new and more flexibility new pump station control panel that replaced the deteriorating panel with a new control system expandable in the future.
